The Game

 

CRY HAVOC is a simulation of medieval tactics and hand-to-hand combat set in the 13th century. The name itself was a medieval command meaning that no quarter was to be given to the enemy.

> 2 full-color maps, giving a possibility of 10 different terrains;
> Playing pieces in full color;
> 1 rule booklet;
> 4 playsheets for handy reference;
> 1 historical background booklet, with a guide to the playing pieces;
> 1 scenario booklet with suggestions for 8 games;
> 1 20 sided dice.

The Maps

2 maps were included with the game: The Crossroads and the Village. Later on, The Forest was introduced as an extension map.

The Counters

   
The playing pieces include knights, both mounted and on foot, men-at-arms, archers, crossbowmen and peasants. No two characters are alike, each has his own name, costume and combat values, bringing the period faithfully to life. 
Note: Unlike the original game, theses counters have adopted the CROISADES format (higher speed for horses, defense armor and direction arrow for horses).
