MARE NORMANNORUM ("The Sea of the Normans", as the Mediterranean Sea was referenced by scholars in the 12th Century) will reenact the conquests on sea and land of King Roger II of Sicily and the descendents of Bohemund of Tarento in the Principalty of Antioche, one of the Crusader States. MARE NORMANNORUM will feature an update to the naval rules of VIKINGS and NEFS & GALEYS.

MARE NORMANNORUM will be an extension for the popular GUISCARD game.

Anticipated Box Contents:

> 2 full-color tactical maps, giving a possibility of many different terrains;
> 1 sheet of playing pieces printed in full color;
> 1 sheet of medieval ships to cut out in full color;
> 1 rule booklet;
> 1 booklet including the historical background, a guide to the playing pieces and both strategic and tactical scenarios;
> Several play sheets for handy reference;
> 1 10-sided die.

Project on hold

 Reasons:
> Difficulty in finding new original
   poses for the characters,
> Limited interest shown by the
   community,
> Complexity of the naval rules.
